It's August! Know what that means? It's time for the August Red Panda-Monium sale!!!
This is the biggest sale I've run in my shop all year, and there are tons of great ways to save! All of these discounts apply only to my etsy shop at http://redpanda.etsy.com. Put coupon code "Red Panda-monium Sale" in the notes to seller when you check out and wait for a revised paypal invoice. Here are your ways to save:
♦ Buy any necklace, get any bracelet for half off.
♦ Buy any pair of earrings, get the second pair (of equal or lesser value) for half off.
♦ Buy any stretchy bracelet, get the second bracelet (of equal or lesser value) for half off.
♦ Buy any two standard (non-stretchy) bracelets, get a third (of equal or lesser value) for FREE.
♦ Buy any set of knitting stitch markers, get the second (of equal or lesser value) for half off.
♦ All knitting stitch markers ship for free with the purchase of any other item.
♦ All key chains ship for free with the purchase of any other item.
♦ For August only, there will be a Red Panda-monium sale section in my shop! Take an extra 20% off all of these items.
♦ Free US and International shipping for all orders over $75.
♦ Each order gets a free Red Panda sticker.
♦ If you'd like a free Red Panda pinback button, put "button" in the notes to seller (while supplies last).
♦ Tweet about this sale on twitter or update your facebook status about this sale, and take an extra 10% off your entire order. Put a link to your twitter/facebook update in the notes to seller when you check out.
You may combine as many discounts as you like. Add all the items you'd like to your cart, check out, and make sure to put "Red Panda-monium Sale" in the notes to seller. Continue check out as usual, but do not pay. I will send a revised paypal invoice to the email address you have on file (or if you'd like the invoice sent to a separate email address, note this address in the notes to seller along with the "Red Panda-monium Sale" code.
In all buy one get one promos, the "buy one" item must be bought at full purchase price to receive the "get one" discount. For example, if you use the "buy one necklace, get one bracelet half off" promo, you cannot use the half off bracelet to get another half off bracelet using the "buy one stretchy bracelet get another one half off" promo. You CAN however use the "buy one necklace, get one bracelet free" promo and also purchase a separate stretchy bracelet to get a third stretchy bracelet for free. You CAN also buy two necklaces and get two bracelets for free. These sale promos do not apply to past orders.
This sale is going on for the entirety of August, so spread the word! This is a great time to go in together on an order with some friends if you'd all like matching bracelets, or just all want to save some money in general. :)
Please email redpandajewelry@gmail.com or send RedPanda a convo on etsy if you have any questions at all. I'd love to help!
I'm also accepting new custom orders at the moment, and I'll give you a discount off quoted custom prices if you'd like a piece of jewelry made specifically to your likings, just for you. :)
Don't forget to put "Red Panda-monium Sale" in the notes to seller to receive your discounts!
Now get out there, go forth, and save!

I'm on a much needed etsy vacation! Here's the scoop:
I am on etsy vacation from Friday, April 10th - Sunday April 19th. This means that if you go to my etsy store at http://redpanda.etsy.com, you'll notice almost all of my items are gone! Not to worry though, they'll be back soon. :)
Now, I'm not on chainmaille vacation, just on etsy vacation. If you need some lovely maille (which of course you do), almost all my items from etsy are now available in my artfire shop at http://redpanda.artfire.com as well as on my website www.redpandajewelry.com.
Throughout my vacation I'll still be working on custom orders, making new items, taking product pictures, and packaging and shipping orders along with pretty much everything I do when I'm not on vacation. I just need a pause in my etsy orders so I can get caught up, and to finally take some relaxing time once I am fully caught up.
In the week I'm on vacation, I plan to have all pending custom orders made, photographed, listed, and shipped out. I'll be completely up to date with all orders. I plan to completely reorganize and clean my crafting space, to make better use of everything. I intend to work out a new shipping system, so the process is more smooth and my boyfriend can help me out when things get hectic. I also plan on reading a book in a bubble bath, going out to dinner, and watching a movie on the couch with my boyfriend. Vacations are for relaxing, too! It's been really hard for me to find time to relax lately, and I think a de-stressing is in order.
Thank you everyone for your continued support! I'm still around and online, so if at any time you have any questions, comments, or if you'd like me to start a custom order for you, send me an etsy convo, artfire message, or email to redpandajewelry@gmail.com.
See you in a week!

I've got red hair!

I redyed it just last night. Naturally, my hair's a medium brown. I use the Miss Clairol's Real Red series, which you can pick up the color and some developer at Sally Beauty for less than a box at the grocery store. It works great! I can't comment on how the gray coverage is because *crosses fingers that I don't jinx it* I don't have any yet.
A while back, Walgreen's had Revlon's Colorist dye on sale for only six dollars. It normally sells for $15.99 so it was a pretty good deal. It's so expensive because it comes with "color glaze", a once a week treatment to put the oomph back in your color. I got a box (light auburn) to try it out (with red hair, you ALWAYS need any oomph you can get!). Turns out it was not a winner in my books. Left my hair feeling horribly brittle, unlike any other dye I've used. The color glaze just wasn't conditioning at all.
If I'm ever getting box anything again it'll always be Clairol's natural instincts line. I buy that stuff when it's on sale in a color I don't even want just for the conditioner it comes with. It's not a permanent hair dye; it washes out after 6 weeks or so. My routine from now on will probably be something along the lines of Real Reds permanent color and condition once a week with the stuff from the Natural Instincts line. Oh yeah.

Today my redpanda branding was mentioned in the Etsy Success Tips email. How wonderful! Thank you to Tamara at blockpartypress for including me in the article. :D
New this week at Red Panda - 3/22/09

(Click picture to view larger)
In order from left to right:
1. Rainbow Dragon Maille Bracelet - I love rainbows, so the rainbow dragon maille bracelet was obviously following up shortly after the yellow dragon maille necklace I posted last week. A solid silver version will be up hopefully next week.
2. Sterling Fan Earrings with Pink Mystic Topaz - I'm falling more and more in love with gemstones recently, with topaz of any color being high on the list. The rings were super tiny in these earrings, but they look great.
3. Sterling Wrapped Eudialyte Pendant - Eudialyte! Can you see I've got a pink trend going on? Just an amazing stone, all wrapped up in stering silver.
4. Pearl Suspension Pendant Necklace - I've actually had the pearl suspension necklace made for months and months now, and just now got around to listing it.
5. Star Shower Bracelet - And I adore the star shower bracelet! Usually I pick one or two colors, or a rainbow as my color scheme, but this has four! Pink, blue, green and silver. Love the stars. So cute.
6. Striped Sterling and Copper Viperscale Plus Bracelet -
The sterling and copper viperscale plus bracelet is oh so sumptuous. It's a super dense weave, and I've woven it so it looks striped!
Check back next Sunday for more new maille goodies. :)

New this week at Red Panda - 3/15/09
In order from left to right:
1. Yellow Dragon Maille Necklace
2. Chainmaille Bead Stitch Markers Set of 4 in Cool
3. Center Burst Chainmail Necklace in Green
4. Rose Gold and Sterling Helm Chainmaille Necklace
5. Tiny Peridot Wrapped Earrings
6. Blue and Brown Spiral Chainmail Bracelet
The yellow dragon maille bracelet I've put forth for spring. Pantone says yellow will be big, and I love sunny yellow, so I decided to make a solid yellow necklace. Magnetic clasp makes it easy to put on and take off.
I love the colors of the beaded stitch markers. Nice and soothing.
The green in the center burst necklace is a limited edition color that you won't find from other maillers. Nice and bright and grassy.
I've been wanting to make something from rose gold for a while now. I think the helm chain suits it perfectly.
Peridot earrings aren't chainmail, so it might be odd to see them in my store, but I think they're very pretty. :)
Blue and brown is a great color combination, and I'm excited to put it into this thick spiral bracelet.
Check back next Sunday for more new maille goodies. :)
